Garlicky Potato Fries are a fantastic finger food; in fact, I’d argue they’re one of the best potato dish creations, right up there with fried potatoes and potato chips.
These incredible fast food make me think of a group of friends sitting at a restaurant table or in a bar talking and laughing, with potato fries as the unavoidable side dish.
Garlicky Potato Fries are one of the favorite potato dishes in most restaurants and pubs. Think of a cricket game day recipe that you want to put up on the table, these Garlicky Potato Fries would be a great addition.
Ingredients:
Potato – 3 – 4 large no.
Corn flour – 2 – 3 tbsp
Black pepper – 1 tsp
Finely chopped garlic – 3 minced
Tomato Sauce – 1 tsp
Honey – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Method:
1. Peel off the potato and wash with water.
2. Cut the potato into long thick sticks.
3. In a bowl take all potato sticks.
4. Add cornflour, black pepper, and salt to the potato sticks.
5. Mix everything well.
6. Heat oil in a pan.
7. Once the oil is hot, start adding potatoes in a small batch into the pan.
8. Fry until both the sides of the potato stick turn golden brown.
9. Remove potato fries from the pan and put them on a paper towel.
10. In another pan add oil and heat the oil.
11. Add garlic and allow it to turn golden brown.
12. Add tomato sauce and mix well.
13. Turn off the heat and add honey. Add fried potato as well to the mixture.
14. Mix everything well until potato fries get well coated with the garlic mixture.
15. Serve with green chutney or any other chutney of your choice.
